Link established. Your Operator has been found. You are at the office, not exactly sure what got you there. You are at the watercooler, trying to socialize. You are at a resort, regaining a sense of purpose. You are standing in front of an altar praying to a divinity you don’t believe in. Your body feels heavy, unfamiliar, like it’s yours but… new? You are an Avatar, guided by an estranged voice.
Come join us for the completely participatory performance A Game of Life. On stage: Avatars, humans directed by headphone instructions. In the audience: Operators, guiding the avatars on stage. One act will be played as Avatar, the other as Operator. This means you will develop a 1-on-1 relationship with someone else in the audience and surrender control to each other. Bring your charged smartphone to participate.
